J: How long does it usually take you to finish a suit?

T: Five days, but can be shorter, depending on our arrangement.

J: If I confirm now, can you give it to me by Sunday morning?

T: Ok we can make it.

J: How much would it cost me?

T: $800 for a coat, $1,000 for a complete set.

J: [Naknang, ang mahal ha]

…sa isang branded shop

J: How much do I need to spend for me to become a member?

S: Sorry, we’re not open for membership now.

J: [Naknang, seasonal pa pala ang membership ha]

Again, again, again

It’s been a very busy month. I’ve been to Lantau Island more than four times, Stanley Market twice, Mongkok Market twice, Avenue of Stars twice, and a number of other tourist attractions more than twice. Practically all the weekends of Feb nasa galaan ako.

Bakit?

Kasi this month alone nagkaroon ako ng limang bisita sa bahay, and I brought them to these places. It was fun having them around, lalo na yung three sisters ko na super na-miss ko nung umalis.

And another two in April.

Grabe, I feel like a hotel owner! Fabulous talaga!

Gold

Green is out, gold is in. This explains why this site now dons a gold background. It's obviously influenced by what we here in Hong Kong are celebrating now -- The Year of the Golden Pig.

Gold symbolizes strength. In the coming months, you'll continue to learn more about my struggles as a fabulous jologs in Hong Kong, and how I try to be strong amid all the challenges.

Gold symbolizes beauty. But since I do not post my pictures on this site, do expect to read more on how I try to polish my inner beauty instead. Or how ugly I can get, depending on the situation.

Gold symbolizes wealth. It's definitely something I want to have in a year that will truly test my money-handling skills. I'll be showing you how kuripot your fab jologs can get.

Gold is 50 years. So bear with me if I don't update this site as often as you'd like it to be updated. Maybe check back every 50 days.

Gold shines. There's definitely a star in every one of us. And this year, I'd like that star in me to shine. I just don't know yet what that star is capable of doing.

NOTE: I don’t think the gold template looks great, but that’ll do for now.

Laisee

This is my second Chinese New Year in Hong Kong. This is also the second time I’ve received a laisee from my landlady. She mailed me this before she and her husband went to Turkey for a weeklong vacation.  Aw, so sweet!
