Emoticons

Imagine a long distance relationship in today’s world without emoticons. You’ll be missing a lot, like this:

I don’t know how emoticons made their way into this world, but +honhon+ and I would like to salute their creators.

With emoticons, emote kayo talaga. Diba?!

Reporter for a day

He knows how much I miss being a journalist, but He also knows that I now have a responsibility as a marketer. He also knows that at some point I can be both -- and that finally happened today, one day before my birthday.

I was happy to see that the banners and other branding materials I've created for the show were in place, but I was happiest when one of my colleagues asked me for help in doing some video interviews for the show.

By 10:30am, I was all suited up, ready to conquer the show floor and interview more than a dozen exhibitors. By 10:45am, I was giving instructions to the cameraman and his assistant, holding the microphone in one hand and the clipboard in the other. For the first time in a long time, I knew what I was doing, and I was happy about it.

Now I understand how Cinderella must have felt the day she transformed herself and stole the spotlight. Fabulous indeed!

Life is not fair

I couldn’t believe that these three guys have been voted out!

They’re not really the best singers in the competition, but they’re more talented and way better than some of those who are still in the top 16.

I agree with Paula, American Idol is a singing competition but it’s not being reflected in the votes.

Are the voters blind? Hell no. But they're definitely deaf!

Or maybe American Idol is not a talent competition after all, but a popularity contest wherein the youngest guy with the curliest hair and the prettiest girl with the nicest smile get to stay longer.

I think life, in general, is also a popularity contest. Whatchatink?
