Three headaches in two days

Headache 1
I went to Worldwide Plaza this afternoon to remit money. As expected, the peso has once again appreciated. For every HKD I convert into peso, I lose PHP0.06 if compared to 10 days ago. PHP0.95 if compared to same period last year. PHP1.50 if compared to September 2005. Grrrr, I’m getting poorer by the day! I don’t appreciate it that the peso is appreciating. OFWs, unite!

Headache 2
Something I did today is giving me a headache because it will also cause headaches to the people around me. Well I didn’t mean to. What I’ve done is actually a cure, not a poison.

Headache 3
This is the literal headache. I took a long hot bath the other night. When I woke up the next day my head felt like being crushed into bits. I decided to sleep the remaining 30 minutes and the next thing I knew – thanks to my officemate who texted me, asking me where I was – it was already 9:30am (I was already 45 minutes late to work). That text message was my cue to drag myself to work.

Yeah, just like them

What do you do when you have a dream? You chase it. Like Jordin.

What do you do when you want something so badly? You stay focused. Like Jaslene.

What do you do when you fall? You get back up and regain your composure. Like Miss USA.

What do you do when you face tough competition? You just be yourself. Like Miss Japan.

What do you do when everyone around you boos at you? Smile at them and be thankful for knowing who they really are. Then tell them something that will silence them. Like an introverted biatch!

Save the world, save the cheerleader

Someone just asked me who I'd want to be if I were a part of Heroes TV series.

I said I would like to be Hiro because I am a person who loves to travel, and that power to teleport would surely bring me places – without having to worry about air tickets, visas and perhaps pocket money.

Wouldn't that be exciting?

As a teleporter, I would also have the ability to change the past.

I'd go back to noon and grab a decent meal from a nearby chachanteng, rather than settle for a weird-tasting noodle at the canteen. Or go back to yesterday to avoid the old man who farted inside the bus.

Or probably to my childhood to stop some silly kid from throwing a big rock to my face. Or perhaps even to my first few months in this world to change my name, possibly into something like Jeero (short for Jeeroquo).

Wow, just imagine the possibilities. So fabulous!

Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to teleport myself now. I still need to save the world, and BE the cheerleader!

Give me a J. Give me an E. Give me a K. Give me an O. Give me what? Hmmm, secret.

It's not everyday

That you receive an email from an old friend that you haven't seen or gotten in touch in years saying she'll be in Hong Kong for a night, and that you need to walk her around town.

That you receive a call from an officemate telling you that she got you a free ticket to Pirates of the Caribbean movie, and that all you need to do was show up at the movie house.

Cool.

Interesting times

The deafening silence of this site is killing me. Breathing new life into my fab jologs lair is definitely needed.

So what events have happened since then? Well, a lot – and probably too many to mention.

Things are getting more exciting and the forces of nature are conspiring to bring me back to where I belong.

Something due to unfold is going to be both exciting and challenging.

It’s going to be a tough battle so I need to muster all the strength and optimism that I can possibly get.

Dang! Here am I again speaking in tongues.
