Busy days are here again
I have so many things to write about, but I just don’t have the time to type them up (hence, the many "reserved" entries below this post). I don’t even have the time to visit my favorite blogs anymore. I’m swamped, lost and buried in heaps and heaps of paper! Every morning, on a bus on my way to the office, I even edit articles, making sure not a single minute gets wasted.
I’m closing two magazines this week…and another two next week. The translations aren’t in yet, the contributor agreements aren’t ready yet, and I have yet to write two long feature stories! Toxic, really! Every hour I get a message from the artist asking me to send her the layout corrections because the client is chasing her. I tell you, this is like the Formula One of editorial – fast, furious and adrenaline-inducing. Whew!
Oh well…it’s only for this month then things will get better (I hope).
Amid all the chaos at work, I’m lucky that I found time to have fun tonight with the GS HK editorial team. They invited me to their official “kick-him-out-of-editorial” party for an officemate who’ll be filling in the position I vacated in GS marketing. We went to a really cool restaurant with pool view in Victoria Park and had a very affordable dinner buffet that’s simply one of the best deals in town (will be posting pics on my Multiply site soon).
34degC in Lamma
With a hot of 34+ degrees, I know this isn’t the perfect day to go hiking, but a plan is a plan and so I had to push through with it no matter what. Well, I really didn’t mind walking under the sun for almost two hours, especially since I had my B and C with me – Beach and Clover Chips!
